Books, Journals, & More

No Mud, No Lotus - Thich Nhat Hanh

It’s a simple read with great insight on how to reset our perspective when we cannot change our circumstances.
“Thinking we should be able to have a life without any suffering is as deluded as thinking we should be able to have a left side without a right side.”

-Thich Nhat Hanh

Radically Content - Jamie Varon

This easy read offered simplified insights that help make acceptance easier to master.

I loved how Jamie Varon was able to simplify such a complex topic as be content when life is constantly changing the goal posts.

The Untethered Soul - Michael Singer

I purchased this book based on a recommendation of how to process grief. The way the author guides you through your own thought processes is amazing.

I loved the guidance and all the lessons I’ve taken from this book.

How to Do the Work - Nicole LePera

This is a thorough guide of how to work through childhood trauma. I was so excited to come across this book because Dr LePera goes through all the phases of healing and self-awareness.

If you can’t get into therapy, this book is the next best step to take right now.

Radical Acceptance - Tara Brach

Another amazing book based in the foundations of Buddhism. This was the book that welcomed me into Buddhism.

The author offers amazing personal insight into what it means to accept suffering and the way our lives unfold.

The Desire Map - Danielle LaPorte

This is an amazing guide on how to gain clarity in your life.

Danielle LaPorte starts by helping you uncover what you want to feel and then deciding on what actions will help you achieve those feelings. The book turns goals setting completely on its head.

The 5 Minute Journal

This psychology-based journal helps you set intentions that stick. Uncover all that you have to be grateful for and how the power of gratitude can transform your life.

This journal takes, literally, only 5 minutes a day and after just two weeks you will be able to witness the transformation in the way you anticipate events and remember your circumstances.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Affirmations Deck

These affirmation cards with yoga poses are incredible for supporting recovery. I have this deck on my nightstand. The poses and the affirmations are beautiful but my favorite part of this deck is how gently the instructions are written.

This is an absolute must-have tool for anyone who provides support or healing services.
